The thing with Carson is. You would watch his show no matter who the guest were because you liked Johnny..he made everyone look good..he listened and knew just when to step in ...he was the master...he would hate what late night talk has become..

Wow, those 1970s suits have not aged well. But it's such a thrill to see Jim Henson in his prime. He raised whole generations of children who are eternally grateful for all he's created.

I have to give Carson amazing credit posthumously in that here he is talking to, arguably, one of the most famous women in the known world and he's talking with her like she's a girl he went to high school with all those years ago. He had am amazing interview style.

his ailment didn't take him; they got him right at the end to make it LOOK like it did. NO WAY could he hang himself with a TIE... in a closet sitting in a chair. No. Sorry. 12 to 15 minimum; celebs, went the same way prior to him. Alexander McQueen, Kate Spade, etc. etc. And how his new wife didn't hear anything is another issue. Rest in peace. He was and still IS loved and always will be. 😭

What's hard to remember is how incredibly boring these shows were, some lame actor comes out and pushes their Movie/TV Show, Johnny tries to make them seem interesting but they usually weren't. So the moments like this were great and the performers that came out and actually knew how to interact and "Perform" were great but at least 95% was duller than dull.
